The #MumBod movement has begun
Last week, we were all about the #DadBod, but now ‘mum bods’ are taking over the Internet. *cue applause*
Triggering a massive social media response, the snaps celebrate post-pregnancy bods of all shapes, sizes and ethnicities.
To reinforce the message, they’re also strictly #nofilter, showing all the beautiful beauty flaws that go with being a mum (stretch marks, lumps and bumps included).
Applauding the movement, one Instagram user said it was high time we gave #MumBod’s some love: “I think it's great that #dadbod is becoming socially acceptable but now it's time to make #mombod socially acceptable and embraced by all!"

While I’m not a gorgeous mum myself, the bh office is full of them – so I couldn’t agree more.
@tiffohm1130831 shared her #MumBod selfie (above, bottom right), captioning it: “This body carried and birthed 2 children. It's not society's perfect bod but it's mine and it is pretty amazing what this ‘bod’ has done. Embrace the #mombod all my beautiful mom's out there."
While some of the selfies depict toned and trim post-pregnancy bodies, the emphasis of the movement isn’t on weight loss – but rather, of being supportive of mums no matter what.
And I don’t know about you, but I’m way more impressed by what these bodies do than what they look like.
Do you support the #MumBod movement?
